David Lawrence Centers Launches New Crossroads Partial Hospitalization Program

David Lawrence Centers Launches New Crossroads Partial Hospitalization Program

The David Lawrence Centers has enhanced its Crossroads substance use continuum through the addition of a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This level of care is designed for individuals who need intensive structured programming, but may not need 24-hour inpatient or residential support. Crossroads PHP provides support, education, monitoring and accountability during the day, while allowing individuals the flexibility to reside at home or on-campus through the Center’s new self-pay boarding option in the evenings.

Partial Hospitalization Programs are appropriate:

  • as an alternative to inpatient substance use care
  • as transitional or stepdown care following an inpatient stay in lieu of continued hospitalization
  • when the severity of substance use symptoms is such that treatment in a less acute outpatient level of care does not provide enough support and structure

David Lawrence Center’s Crossroads PHP program is co-located within the Crossroads Residential program. Individuals in PHP participate onsite in the Crossroads Residential treatment programming including therapeutic groups, structured activities and discharge planning for a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.

After completing Crossroads PHP, individuals have the option to step down into Crossroads Intensive Outpatient Treatment which meets less frequently and for fewer hours per week, or to routine outpatient therapy to help sustain their recovery.
