People Are Our Greatest Asset

People Are Our Greatest Asset

From the CEO David Schimmel

In order to be the undisputed leader in our field where people will experience life changing wellness, it takes a team of skillful, dynamic professionals who are committed to the lives we touch and the pursuit of excellence. In order to create an environment where people are inspired and empowered towards life-changing wellness, it takes the commitment of each and every employee at every level within our organization.

In order to meet the demand for high quality mental health and substance use services and have the skill sets needed to treat the most complex diagnostic cases, we recruit the best of the best. This is easily demonstrated by the addition of our three, new bilingual psychiatrists who have now joined Collier County’s largest, most comprehensive behavioral healthcare practice.

I am honored to introduce Frank W. Lehninger, M.D. who is triple board certified in adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and will see adults and children in Acute Care and Children’s Outpatient Services; Monica P. Robles, M.D. who is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry and will serve as the Senior Physician in Children’s Outpatient Services; and Luis A. Rives, M.D. who is board certified in adult psychiatry and will serve adults in Outpatient and Urgent Care Services.

As a not-for-profit, health and human service organization, our employees are our product and caring for our community’s health, safety and wellbeing is our business. David Lawrence Centers was recently notified that the hard work of our employees – the behavioral healthcare heroes who make up our organization – contributed to the Center being named a Health Care Hero by the Naples Daily News for the Community Outreach category and will be celebrated at an awards luncheon in April and we couldn’t be more proud.

To achieve an accolade of this magnitude, we rely not only on our 250 employees, but an army of volunteers, board members, advocates, community partners and investors to help us deliver on this important community role.
