The Emergency Services Center is available to anyone in an acute behavioral health crisis and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All those in need are accepted and treated without regard for capacity to pay.

In a behavioral health emergency, immediate access to capable and qualified support is essential. DLC provides inpatient crisis stabilization for children and adults who may be experiencing:

  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Stress or trauma
  • Bizarre or threatening behavior
  • Drug or alcohol use issues
  • Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
  • Family and interpersonal conflicts
  • Work or school-related crisis
  • Breaks with reality

Baker Act Receiving

DLC is Collier County’s Baker Act Receiving Facility. Referrals may be made by parents, law enforcement, local hospitals, medical professionals, the school system, or other concerned parties.

An evaluation within 24 hours of admission helps to establish an initial treatment plan. Clients have access to a team of psychiatrists, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, discharge planning clinicians, and behavioral healthcare technicians to collaboratively design a holistic and individualized approach.
