David Lawrence Centers Appointments Three New Board Members

Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and addiction recovery treatment center serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Laird Grant Groody, CPA, Karen Mosteller, and Chris Vernon, Esq. to the Board of Directors. Each will serve a three-year term.

Laird Grant Groody is a retired investment manager. She spent much of her career with U.S. Trust in New York and Naples. She also served as President and CEO of the Rockerfeller Foundation. Her professional affiliations include previously serving on the Board of Burlington Resources, a public oil and gas company, and currently as a Director for the Evercore Equity Fund based in New York.

Laird’s charity work includes having served as a Board Member for the Community Foundation of Collier County, a volunteer and Board member for Planned Parenthood in both New York and Naples, a trustee of Barnard College, her alma mater, as well as a volunteer for the Shelter for Abused Women and Children.

Laird will serve on the Board’s Development and Finance Committees.

Karen Mosteller, is the Strategic Medical Healthcare and Dental Consultant with Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A. She has more than 30 years of public accounting experience in the medical, construction, retail, and professional services industries. She is an award winning Certified Public Accountant and Certified Healthcare Business Consultant. Karen will serve on the Board’s Finance Committee.

Chris Vernon, Esq., is a partner with Vernon Litigation Group where he manages the litigation and arbitration of complex business and financial disputes. His professional affiliations include having served on the Board of the Collier County Bar Association and as a member of the Collier County ID Theft Task Force. His charitable endeavors include having been appointed by the governor to serve as Chairman of the Board for Florida SouthWestern State College where he was also tapped to serve on their Foundation and Financing Corporation Boards. He also served on the Boards of the Leadership Collier Foundation, Partnership for Collier’s Future Economy as well as United Arts Council of Collier County.

Chris will serve on the Board’s Governance & Nominating Committee.
