DLC Names Nursing Supervisor Tammy Seyler as 2020 Employee of Year

Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider serving children, adults and families, has named Acute Care Nursing Supervisor Tammy Seyler as 2020 Employee of the Year.

Tammy joined DLC in 2016 as a Registered Nurse. She was promoted to Registered Nurse Coordinator in 2019 and again later that same year when she was promoted to Supervisor. Prior to joining DLC, Tammy was a Registered Nurse with The Willough at Naples and also served as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in the home health care setting.

Tammy was bestowed the Employee of the Year honor for her sound leadership. She goes above and beyond and volunteers to handle difficult tasks with a resolved nature and pleasant attitude. As a new supervisor, in 2020 she assisted with employee trainings, employee engagement activities, DLC’s Nursing Student Program and graciously stepped into the challenging role of Infection Control Officer amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Tammy is truly admired by her team, who routinely express gratitude for her compassion, support and openness to new ideas,” said DLC President and CEO Scott Burgess. “She has played a critical role in the health and safety of our frontline workers, clients and visitors during the pandemic and works tirelessly to help with staffing to ensure more people can access life-saving emergency care on the Crisis Unit, which is often at capacity. She is an honor to work with and very deserving of this award.”
