David Lawrence Centers Young Executives to Host “Friendraiser” in Honor of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week

Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and addiction recovery treatment center serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce the David Lawrence Centers Young Executives will host a Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week-themed “Friendraiser” on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Bayside Bar & Grill from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

This casual, “friendraising” event is a great opportunity to relax and unwind with like-minded, fellow young professionals. Attendees get an opportunity to meet new people, network with colleagues and meet up with friends – all while supporting the health and wellbeing of Collier County.

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week shines a national spotlight on the importance of caring for every child’s mental health and reinforces that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development. In honor of this observation, the Young Executives are raising funds to help build a beautiful and inviting, new brick-paved pathway at the entrance of the Children’s Serenity Garden on the David Lawrence Centers main campus.

The new Serenity Garden provides children and families with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere to enjoy while visiting or receiving treatment services. The area is often used as a relaxing, therapeutic environment for clients enrolled in the new children’s partial hospitalization program. The Zen-like garden features several benches and picnic tables so that children, visitors and staff can enjoy the positive benefits of daylight, nature and beautiful Naples weather.

Admission to the “Friendraiser” is free. Anyone who makes a contribution during the event towards the Children’s Serenity Garden, will receive one free drink ticket and hors d’oeuvres.

Donations can be made at the event or online throughout the month of May during Mental Health Awareness Month.
