Foglia Family Foundation Continues to Invest in Greatest Needs at DLC

Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider serving children, adults and families, has received a significant unrestricted, multi-year grant for general support for services and operations from the Foglia Family Foundation.

The Foglia Family Foundation is a private foundation founded in 1995 in Chicago, IL by Vince Foglia, the co-founder of Sage, a medical supply company that develops and manufactures healthcare products marketed primarily to hospitals throughout the U.S. The Foundation’s major areas of interest are education and health care.

“As part of our interest in health care, we’ve always supported high-quality behavioral health treatment. We are aware that addiction and suicide rates are soaring and demand for treatment is growing,” said Vince Foglia, Vice President of the Foglia Family Foundation. “Much of this care is unfunded and relies on donors. Yet even with charitable gifts, behavioral health organizations like DLC are still only able to scratch the surface of the need.”

The Foglia Family Foundation made significant contributions to DLC in recent years that supported the expansion of the emergency assessment center and admissions services, and funded the operations for one bed in the Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Foundation also made significant investments in behavioral health in Illinois helping to launch residential treatment for those suffering anxiety and chemical dependency at the AMITA Health Foglia Family Foundation Residential Treatment Center.

“DLC’s efforts are very worthwhile,” added Foglia. “We are happy to be able to help this terrific organization do work that is needed urgently.”

“We are so grateful for the generous support of the Foglia Family, who have consistently helped DLC reach thousands of children, families, and adults with life-changing behavioral healthcare,” said DLC CEO Scott Burgess. “Through the Foglia Family Foundation’s partnership, we have been able to further expand access and demonstrate another year of record-breaking support and services to those who are greatly in need of care. We are honored to serve with them in their vital mission!”
