Maggie Baldwin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addiction Professional with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and families find lasting recovery. As the Clinical Director of the Crossroads Continuum at David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), she leads a team of over 40 professionals dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Maggie also oversees the connection with the Collier County Veterans and Treatment Courts.
Since joining DLC in 2014, Maggie has played a pivotal role in expanding and enhancing the Crossroads programs. She has developed and implemented several new treatment initiatives—including the MORE program, Peer Recovery Support, Adult Substance Use Case Management, Care Coordination SA, and the Hospital Bridge Program—all designed to create a more connected and supportive path to recovery.
Under her leadership, Crossroads Continuum has grown into a comprehensive network of services that includes detoxification, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, aftercare, and recovery housing. Maggie also guided the creation of DLC’s first recovery residence, which achieved FARR (Florida Association of Recovery Residences) certification, ensuring the highest standards of care and accountability.
Maggie oversees program operations, compliance, and staff development, managing a $2.4 million budget and maintaining full alignment with state and Joint Commission standards. She has successfully led multiple state and federal audits, provides clinical supervision to registered interns, and continues to strengthen community partnerships and outreach efforts across Southwest Florida.
Prior to her leadership role at DLC, Maggie served as a clinician and supervisor in both outpatient and crisis settings, including Oakwood Mental Health Center in West Palm Beach and Eileen Messing & Associates in Delray Beach. Her background includes extensive work in crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, and neuropsychological assessment.
Maggie earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Smith College, where she was a four-year Dean’s List scholar. She is also a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA) and a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counseling interns.
