Staff Psychiatrist in the Crisis Stabilization Unit

Helping these vulnerable groups navigate through individual crises, educating and instilling hope within the patients and families – this is what brings me back day after day and keeps DLC at the forefront of mental and behavioral healthcare for children in our community.”

Marta Pieczalska, MD is a full-time staff psychiatrist in the Crisis Stabilization Unit.  She joined the DLC team in 2017.

She most recently served as a Staff Psychiatrist in Youth and Family Services at the Peak Wellness Center in Wyoming. She also taught nurse practitioners and family practitioners at the University of Wyoming. She has extensive experience in psychiatric consultation, medication management and liaison services in the telehealth, inpatient and outpatient treatment settings.

Dr. Pieczalska attended Jagiellonian University in Poland, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine in psychiatry. She completed her residency in general psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas.

Dr. Pieczalska is board-certified in general, child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
