We understand the addiction recovery is a lifelong journey and with the help of our clinicians, we’ve created a series of aftercare programs and the DLC Alumni Association to help our clients stay on a path of lifelong recovery.

Residential Aftercare Services
Our residential aftercare services are designed for clients who have successfully completed the residential treatment program. Sessions are focused on promoting a positive lifestyle and continuing the stabilization process as clients return to living in their community. Treatment length is individualized and usually lasts 4 to 12 weeks.
Aftercare group sessions include education on topics such as:
- Understanding dynamics of relapse
- Identifying and developing recovery maintenance skills
- Understanding internal and external triggers
- Learning about resources and support systems
- Developing and ongoing recovery maintenance plan
- Addressing re-emerging symptoms
Additional aftercare support services are also available:
- Onsite 12-step meetings held weekly
- Individual sessions are available when indicated

Alumni Association
David Lawrence Centers ‘ Alumni Association is open to individuals who have successfully completed the Residential, Intensive Outpatient and Drug Court programs. The Alumni group assists individuals with substance use problems to achieve life-changing wellness by demonstrating that recovery is possible and by encouraging those in the community in need to seek treatment. The group provides opportunities for fellowship and to stay engaged in recovery by planning and coordinating a variety of community events.
The Alumni Association Offers:
- Peer Support
- Monthly on-site Alumni-only 12-step recovery meetings
- Participation in detox groups
- Monthly business meetings to coordinate and plan Alumni activities
- Recovery-oriented volunteer, outreach and service work
- Alumni representation at Drug Court and 12-step meetings
- Annual Recovery Month Celebration, Annual Picnic, and fundraising activities
