NAPLES, FL (May 8, 2024) – David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider, is excited to announce that the DLC Advocates will host the 11th Annual Sunset Cruise for Mental Health to bring awareness to the community’s mental health crisis and support the work DLC is doing to provide hope for the future.

The event, presented by Purpose Journey®, will be held on June 13 aboard the Naples Princess at 550 Port O Call Way. Boarding begins at 6 p.m., with the two-hour cruise departing at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy delicious appetizers and beverages. The theme of this year’s cruise is the 1990s, and guests are invited to wear their best ‘90s-inspired attire.

The demand for behavioral health care has skyrocketed in Collier County over the past decade, with more people turning to DLC for help. Attendees of this year’s Sunset Cruise for Mental Health will learn more about DLC and how it is meeting the demand for mental health services in the community. Inspirational stories will also be shared as the Naples Princess cruises along the beautiful coast.

“There could not be a more serene setting to talk about mental health hope and recovery than aboard the DLC Advocates Sunset Cruise,” said Kimberly Dye, the vice president of advancement at DLC. “We look forward to a tremendous turnout of individuals who are passionate about raising awareness of the mental health needs of this community, and who are eager to support solutions to help those struggling.”
